Title: BTB Podcast #48 – Nap City, Trick
Date: April 5, 2013
Original Source: Beyond the Boxscore
Synopsis: The BtBS podcast underwent a bit of a change, introducing Bryan Grosnick as my co-host and moving to twice weekly instead of once per week. This edition broke down the first week in MLB.
It’s a new season, and with it brings a new format for the podcast. Now coming at you Tuesdays and Friday, Bryan Grosnick and Blake Murphy will aim to bring you the best in baseball with a saber-lean, working in a third man in the booth or special guest when we can.
As we figure out the format and get a flow, we’d love to hear feedback and constructive criticism, as well as suggestions for segments/topics/etc. So drop ’em in the comments.
Today’s edition runs 38:08 (longer than we anticipate a normal episode being – 13.0MB for download, by the way). Here’s a really thin outline of what we talk about:
*Are naps good? Why or why not?
*Yu Darvish’s incredible game, pun-free.
*Astros K% and the early rise in league K-rate.
*Longoria’s nifty glovework.
*RUNNING SEGMENT #1 – WEIRD STAT OF THE WEEK
*Valverde and all of the yuck.
*Matt Harvey, stud.
*Weekend pitching match-ups.
*RUNNING SEGMENT #2 – SHAMELESS PLUGS
*Profar for Taveras?
*Much, MUCH more.
