Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic, I collaborated with Josh Robbins of The Athletic Orlando to preview the first-round playoff series between the Raptors and the Magic.
The Toronto Raptors will host the Orlando Magic in a first-round series that should offer a reminder of the past to one side and a glimpse of the future for the other. The upstart Magic are where the Raptors found themselves back in 2014, an exciting but untested team with a few really intriguing pieces. The Raptors, meanwhile, are out to show that the era that began in 2014 is over; The Playoff Raptors are dead, long live The Playoff Raptors.
The Athletic will have Josh Robbins and Eric Koreen on the ground in both cities and Blake Murphy (me!) based in Toronto to take you through all the ins and outs of what should be an entertaining series. Today, Josh and I will take a look at some of the key plot points and most important matchups for Raptors-Magic.
