Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I broke down the Raptors’ roster decisions out of camp and heading into the season opener.

It has been a long and circuitous journey to the NBA for Malcolm Miller.

Technically, training camp with the Raptors this year was his third with the organization and fourth in the NBA. He has appeared in 25 NBA games and will receive a ring as an NBA champion Tuesday. He has, via a two-way roster spot and a mid-season call-up, earned an NBA salary for parts of his career. There have been surgeries on his ankle and shoulder thanks to consecutive summer league injuries. There have been salary cap irregularities and there have been coincidental and historical winning streaks. He’s been around.

Sunday, though, felt different.
