The NBA season is on hiatus, but there is hope it will return in some fashion. So we gathered the brain trust of writers from six Eastern Conference contenders to dive into the playbook and break down their team’s most effective play. Hopefully there will be some playoffs where we’ll see these in the not-too-distant future.
Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry, screener extraordinaire
Blake Murphy: For as many changes as their playbook has undergone in recent years, the Raptors have often been at their deadliest when they simplify things, especially late in games. That usually means using Lowry as a screener rather than a ball-handler.
