Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I opened up the mailbag for a massive two-part Q&A to set the scene for the Raptors ahead of the league’s official relaunch.
It feels like so much has changed in the five weeks since our last mailbag, yet a lot of the unknowns and uncertainties remain the same.
As we inch closer to the NBA’s return to play and as the Toronto Raptors ramp up their second training camp, we’re at least at a point where it feels reasonable to dive deeper into questions about things like rotations, playoff matchups and free agency rather than broader queries about whether this was all even going to happen and whether it should. (Those are still relevant, of course. There’s just also basketball now. Almost.)
There may be some understandable overlap with questions from earlier hiatus mailbags as everyone refreshes themselves on where we are before Aug. 1. In that spirit, we’re going even deeper than usual with the mailbag this time around, splitting it into two parts. Keep your eyes out for upcoming Live Q&As on the site as well.
