The Raptors will start the 2020-21 season in Tampa, Florida.
On Friday, like the Blue Jays before them, the Raptors announced that the federal government has denied their request for a special exemption that would have allowed them and their opponents to play games in Toronto outside of the Canadian government’s current mandatory 14-day quarantine period for anyone entering the country from the U.S.
The Blue Jays ultimately played their home games in Buffalo, N.Y. The Raptors have decided to go even further south.
