Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I looked at areas the Raptors might be better or take a step back after their offseason moves.
A pair of centres out, a pair of centres in, a pair of draft picks added and some tweaks around the margins. The Toronto Raptors figure to have at least four new faces on the opening night roster for the 2020-21 season, and possibly as many as six depending on how the next couple of weeks play out. The season, after all, is less than a month away.
Yesterday, we took a look at the individual winners and losers from the movement. In the coming week or so, we’ll look at how the rotation projects to change and what the key camp battles to watch are. Today, we zoom out a bit to recalibrate how the Raptors look as a whole, particularly with respect to some of last year’s strengths and weaknesses.
