Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I dropped a notebook on the finale of a bad Raptors season.
The 2020-21 Toronto Raptors season is over. Mercifully.
The Raptors played their 72nd and final game Sunday, a 125-113 loss to the Indiana Pacers that dropped the team’s record to 27-45 for the season. It’s the Raptors’ first non-playoff season since 2012-13 and their worst record since 2011-12. There are positives, particularly the No. 7 lottery odds for July’s draft, but it feels safe to assume everyone is ready to turn the page.
Before we do, here’s a notebook on the finale, some items we’d been tracking of late and a note on what’s to come in the weeks ahead.
Six-man rotation
Jalen Harris joined the convoy of injured Raptors with a lingering sore foot that has him in a walking boot.
