Title: Reader Draft Board: Help us set draft lottery priorities for the Raptors
Date: May 29, 2021

Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I opened it up for readers to provide their own Raptors lottery draft boards as part of my pre-draft prep process.
With ample runway ahead of the draft, I wanted to try a little something different. It might not work. It probably won’t work. I’m nothing if not willing to fail and get annoyed comments on the article.
I think you should help set the Raptors draft board here at The Athletic.
As I’ve explained in the past, my personal process usually involves taking Sam Vecenie’s big board, merging it with boards from a few other sites or draft rankers, doing my own research and, finally, Raptor-izing the board. That last step is crucial because how the Raptors view the draft with their competitive situation, player preferences and development success is different than how the Magic or Bulls might. That can sometimes lead to less conventional rankings. And that’s fine. This entire pre-draft process is mostly one giant thought exercise to work through roster-building and prepare ourselves for whoever the Raptors actually do end up with.
