Title: Raptors trade possibilities: What would it take to move up or down at NBA Draft?
Date: June 24, 2021

Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I looked at ways the Raptors could trade up or down in the draft to maximize their No. 4 pick.
What do you do when you have a rare stroke of lottery luck and land the No. 4 pick in a very intriguing NBA Draft? Well, you shop it, of course.
This is, admittedly, not the first thing I’d think to write about now that the Raptors hold the No. 4 pick in the 2021 draft. However, we’ve done initial dives on Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Jalen Suggs and Jalen Green and Scottie Barnes, among others. In reacting to the lottery results last night, the overwhelming first question across comments and tweets was “How does this affect their chances to trade up/down/out?”
(OK, it was actually, “How dare you take Barnes as a thought experiment, you fool, you absolute rube?” We will ignore that, though it did spark a possibly fruitful idea for this column.)
