Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I broke down the performance of each Raptors’ summer league player and what’s next for their development.
LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Raptors finished 4-1, unofficially placing fifth at summer league. As you’re surely aware, summer league means nothing. Unless you win it all. And unless you play well. Then it means a lot. Otherwise, throw it out.
In seriousness, there’s good granular information available across those five games. You don’t want to get too bogged down with the specific statistics or small-sample theatre, but skill growth, how a player looks relative to his peers and inter-roster competitions are all meaningful. Through that lens, the Raptors came out looking pretty good.
What follows is a brief take on each of the summer league Raptors and what their performances may mean for their immediate futures.
