Synopsis: In my latest for The Athletic Toronto, I refreshed some of our earlier 2020 NBA Draft analysis as we prepare to Raptor-ize a big board before Nov. 18.

It is difficult enough to predict what the Toronto Raptors might do at the NBA Draft even in the most certain of times. Trying to nail down what they’ll do in 2020, with no in-person predraft process to glean information from, in a draft that projects light up top, but deep on intriguing rotation pieces, seems impossible.

And so with my colleague Eric Koreen not on the conference call with Raptors assistant general manager and vice president of player personnel Dan Tolzman on Wednesday, I decided to borrow Eric’s annual approach: Just ask.

“So, who are you going to pick?” I asked Tolzman via Zoom.

“Oh man, I feel like my response to Eric is always, like, ‘Do you have any ideas, or can you give a suggestion at this point?” he said.
