The Toronto Raptors had a clear takeaway from their 2019-20 season and especially their postseason performance: They need more offensive punch. If everything breaks right, Jalen Harris will help shore up that weakness.
The Raptors looked to address this in Wednesday’s draft by adding a pair of guards to their development system. First it was Malachi Flynn at No. 29, a do-everything guard in the mold of the point guards who have brought the Raptors so much success the last few years. At No. 59, the Raptors doubled down on the guard position, selecting Harris, a junior out of Nevada.
