The unrelenting year from hell has not, uh, relented for the Toronto Raptors, even as the individuals involved have dispersed from their temporary home in Tampa.
The 2020-21 seasons, it seems, will not cease kicking the franchise while it’s down until the league calendar officially flips in August. Or, if you’ve been saying your prayers and eating your vitamins, brother, on June 22. Until then, it’s more pain, both figurative and literal, as the Raptors announced Friday that Pascal Siakam recently underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Injuries — especially offseason ones — tend to be fairly straightforward. Siakam’s comes with some legitimate questions, though, so let’s work through them.
